I'm Kerstin Balka and conducting this survey as part of my research project and The OSI project at TUHH, Hamburg University of Technology. We sincerely thank you for participating in this survey. Thereby you are helping us to research the meaning and importance of openness in the area of open source software and beyond software.

Please base all answers on your personal point of view and your concrete experience in one particular open source project, which you specify at the beginning of the survey.

Please answer as many questions here as possible. There are 27 questions in this survey, pre-tests showed that filling the survey takes approx. 5-7 minutes.

All data will be collected anonymously.

	A note on privacy This survey is anonymous. The record kept of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you unless a specific question in the survey has asked for this. If you have responded to a survey that used an identifying token to allow you to access the survey, you can rest assured that the identifying token is not kept with your responses. It is managed in a separate database, and will only be updated to indicate that you have (or haven't) completed this survey. There is no way of matching identification tokens with survey responses in this survey.
